What is acting
Planets
Planets are the active principles in a chart: identity, emotion, thought, desire, drive, expansion, structure, disruption, imagination, transformation, and other living functions.
Astrology
Astrology is the timing language inside the Blueprint. It reads the sky as a map of pattern, pressure, emphasis, and relationship: what is active, how it expresses, where it lands, and how the chart's inner parts interact.
THE.OS defaults to True Sidereal astrology for its main read, so this guide starts from that reference frame.
What is acting
Planets are the active principles in a chart: identity, emotion, thought, desire, drive, expansion, structure, disruption, imagination, transformation, and other living functions.
How it expresses
Signs describe style, tone, and archetypal weather. A planet in a sign shows the manner in which that planetary function tends to move.
Where it lands
Houses translate the chart into life areas: identity, resources, communication, home, creativity, health, relationships, transformation, meaning, vocation, community, and the unconscious.
How parts relate
Aspects show the geometry between planets. They reveal where inner functions reinforce each other, challenge each other, or demand integration.
Reference frame
Reference frames matter because they decide how the zodiac ring is labeled. THE.OS treats True Sidereal as the default lens for the core Blueprint interpretation, while still recognizing that tropical astrology is a different and widely used symbolic frame.
THE.OS defaults to True Sidereal astrology: a sky-based frame that maps placements against constellation boundaries instead of the seasonal tropical zodiac.
Changing the reference frame changes sign labels and degrees. It does not change the birth moment, planetary geometry, or the fact that the chart is calculated from a specific time and place.
Because the default frame is constellation-based, THE.OS includes Ophiuchus as part of the zodiac ring used for the True Sidereal view.

How to read it
A chart is not a pile of labels. It is a system. The useful read comes from noticing emphasis, repetition, contradiction, and timing.
Start with Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and chart ruler.
Check houses to see which life areas carry the most charge.
Use aspects to see where inner functions cooperate or clash.
Layer transits and cycles later to see what is being activated now.
Common questions
Because THE.OS is intentionally using a sky-based reference frame for its main Blueprint interpretation. Tropical is still a meaningful seasonal framework, but the default read here is anchored to the sidereal constellation map.
No. The birth moment and planetary geometry are the same. The reference frame changes how the zodiac ring labels that geometry.
Start with the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, chart ruler, house emphasis, and major aspects. Then look at elements, modalities, and polarity to understand overall composition.
Depth comes from synthesis: how placements, houses, aspects, timing, numerology, Human Design, and other layers reinforce or challenge one another in a specific life.
